CMU vs. Waynesburg (9 - 5)
In the home opener for the CMU team, CMU gained an early lead on Waynesburg State, despite Waynesburg's heavy hitting. The lead was steadily increased with stellar performances from attackman Tyler and midfielder Esteban. Coach Sean was pleased with the performance.
Case Western vs. CMU (7 - 6)
CMU traveled to Case Western Reserve University with lower than normal numbers. Again CMU jumped out to an early lead with help from faceoff midfielder David, but the lack of numbers allowed Case Western to catch up in the fourth quarter and force an overtime loss for the CMU team.
University of Michigan vs. CMU (8 - 5)
In the second game of the day for the CMU team, they were not able to match the fresh legs of Flint's players. The loss of faceoff expert David tired the defense out early in the game.
Robert Morris Univ. vs. CMU (1 - 7)
In a cold game at Robert Morris University, CMU completely dominated the inexperienced Robert Morris team. The score was kept low due to shorter quarters from the lower temperatures and snow. Midfielder Travis had an oustanding game replacing David at the faceoff "x".
Penn State-Altoona vs. CMU (9 - 3)
The game was especially short as visibility was cut due to the blizzard. Penn State played very well and foiled any attack from CMU, while scoring on almost every possession.
CMU vs. Cleveland State (15 - 8)
The team was excited to play again at home and the weather was cooperating as well with blue skies and temperatures in the mid 60s. Cleveland State got off to a quick start as CMU seemed to be a little sleepy. Attack player Jack Shaban sparked the offense in the second and third quarters with 5 goals, but it was not enough to overcome the green helmeted Cleveland State players.
